Halloween Blood Orange & Raspberry Mojito

Halloween is right around the corner and this recipe will have you set to host a Trick or Treat night to remember. Who doesn't love a Healthy Halloween Blood Orange Raspberry Mojito? This drink omits sugar, making it a refreshing and nutritious choice. The natural sweetness of blood oranges and the subtle fruity notes from the raspberry mojito tea create a you won't want to pass on. 

Blood Orange & Raspberry Mojito By BRW Society. 

Here is what you will need:

2 Blood oranges
2 BRW Raspberry Mojito tea bags

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
1 cup water
1 cup soda water (We used Fever Tree from our local Spinney's store)
Ice cubes

Here is what you need to do:

1. Prepare the BRW Raspberry Mojito Tea:
Boil 1 cup of water and steep the BRW Raspberry Mojito tea bags for about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let it cool completely.

2. Juice the Blood Oranges:
Squeeze the juice from both blood oranges and set it aside.

3. Muddle the Mint:
In a cocktail shaker or a sturdy glass, muddle the fresh mint leaves gently to release their flavour.

4. Mix the Ingredients:

Fill a serving glass with ice cubes.
Pour in the blood orange juice and the muddled mint.

5. Add Tea and Soda:
Pour in the cooled BRW Raspberry Mojito tea and soda.

6. Stir Well:
Gently stir the ingredients in the glass to combine all the flavours.

7. Garnish:
Garnish your Healthy Halloween Blood Orange Raspberry Mojito with a sprig of mint and a slice of blood orange.

8. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve immediately and savour your guilt-free Halloween-themed mojito!

Here is what you will need:

2 tablespoons corn syrup Red food coloring
1 teaspoon cornstarch

Here is what you need to do:

1. Mix 2 tablespoons of corn syrup in a small bowl.
2. Add red food colouring and a tiny drop of blue food colouring for depth. Adjust the colour to your liking.

3.Stir in 1 teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken the blood.
4. Adjust the consistency with water if needed—add drops to thin or more cornstarch to thicken.

5. Drip down the side of your glass
