Greek High Mountain Tea - The Secret of the Mediterranean
How does it taste? It has a floral, earthy, slightly sweet taste. Similar to a blend of mint, chamomile and citrus. It has a mild taste.
Tea for...when you are looking to boost your immune system (or want something delicious to sip on!). The Ancient Greeks used this tea as a remedy for colds, aches, allergies and respiratory issues.
Our 'Organic Greek Mountain Tea' uses the whole panicle of the Sideritis Scardica. This plant is grown in northern Greece in the Rhodope mountains at almost 1000m altitude by mountain farmers in small eco-farms. The seedlings are grown from seeds of the wild plant and planted after 3 months. It takes 3 years for the plant to come into the first bloom. The flowers are carefully picked by hand and dried in drying halls. Greek Mountain tea is rich in essential oils and its blossoms, stems and leaves give the scent of fresh herbs with a hint of lemon when infused. Enjoy!
